My Side Of The Story: In Bubblegum Pink

My Side Of The Story: In Bubblegum Pink
This little deviation from the usual brought to you by the randomly-strung-group-of-words that was my status message then:
All what-her-ed down,
That’s me,
And yes, my eyes are chocolate brown,
As is the skin furrowed by my frown,
If I were king, I’d probably look silly wearing that crown,
Probably a little less sillier than being a clown, (at a child’s birthday party – )
I would have my fair maidens feed me sweet sweet grapes,
As I sipped from a goblet, and I’d be in a few minutes,
All what-her-ed down.
It’s been quite a week. I managed to stay at Bidadi for nearly a whole week without spiriting (no, not sprinting) back home. Yesterday I had to come home and learn a bit of SQL. And it proved to be well worth it. I learnt quite a bit (something about SQL JOINs being really cool as opposed to SELECTs from multiple tables,) and stayed up quite late into the night in the process (4:30 AM). I had to be up by 6:00 to leave for Bidadi before the city woke up. I woke up at 7 AM and found myself disJOINted and groggier than ever. And this continued through the day.
Could hardly connect with Objects today in class. Wasn’t I certified for being able to do a little bit of that? Planning to finsh that up during the weekend. Also somebody’s going to be a lot poorer this weekend. And I know it’s going to be me. Goodbyes will be said, people will break bread, and talk of the dead, all to mark the end of another era and the beginning of something new.
And yes, this week also marked the twenty-second incident of the earth going around the sun since when I was considered existent enough to be called ‘cute’.
Of course, a lot has changed now.
I’ve always held silly contrarian views on birthdays. I’m beginning to like them now.
To all those who checked in: Thank you. To all those who didn’t, I’ll look you up on facebrook.
Took this on the my very first day at work. We had just come out the building where we’re being trained, and I just had to take a picture of something to remember the occasion by.
The sun seems to be current favourite subject of my photographs anyway.
Checking back with Facebook after a gap of two weeks, I found this discussion on “morality coming from morons”. Oddly, this is the only one I could actually think of responding to.
The discussion was centered around a joke:
“If electrcity comes from electrons, then doesn’t morality come from morons.”
My response:
If current is taken to move in a direction conventionally opposite to the direction of motion of electrons, you can apply the same analogy to the motion of morons, to deduce that morons moving away from morality leads to moronism.
So, it is the direction you choose to take, and not the effect of a label you have been tagged with.
It’s not about being a moron. It’s about taking the same direction as another moron moving away from morality that makes you a moron.
Think I wasn’t really making a point there? Neither did I.
This week (in no particular order):
And finally: while I depend on the internet for many things, I am not unable to live without it.
“Let me show you.
“It’s rainy and dull. It’s like everyday in London from every movie I’ve seen that is set in London.”
“Well, you can’t have seen too many of those!”
“No, I suppose not.”
